Better To-Do functionality

I really enjoy using Amie because it finally brings calendars and meeting notes together in one app – the new sidebar with the quick switch between Calendar View and Meeting Notes is fantastic. However, I quickly run into limitations with the to-do functionality: at the moment, tasks can only be created as simple calendar entries and managed in a basic list. While this works well enough for simple tasks, it quickly becomes difficult to stay organized when managing more complex projects and client work.

That's why I would love to see:

  • A dedicated to-do section in the sidebar

    • A separate space for tasks, where you can easily switch between different views like Kanban etc.

  • Labels and filters (similar to the tag system in Todoist, for example)

  • Projects (the ability to organize tasks into projects – or alternatively, allow to-do lists to be nested within each other, similar to folder structures)

In my opinion, these improvements would take Amie to a whole new level.
